Reduction in process times
Time savings for CSRs
Success rate for inventory movement requests
Our client, a global medical device manufacturer headquartered in the United States, is an industry leader in designing and producing specialized implants and instruments engineered for the treatment of complex lower back conditions. With operational capacity to support over sixty surgical procedures daily, the integrity and efficiency of the company's sales and inventory processes are paramount to its mission of delivering critical medical technologies to hospitals, surgeons, and their patients.
The organization’s operational framework was predicated on fragmented, paper-based workflows for managing essential functions such as orders, audits, and inventory transfers. These manual processes resulted in significant processing delays, a high frequency of errors, and a substantial operational burden on both customer service and field sales teams. With inventory distributed across more than 400 locations, the lack of real-time visibility made replenishment decisions reactive and inefficient, which fundamentally limited the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of the entire supply chain.
Accellor executed an end-to-end digital transformation initiative, delivering a unified, Salesforce-based platform integrated directly with the client's ERP system to centralize and automate all inventory and order management functions. Real-time data synchronization established a single, authoritative view of stock levels across all field trunks, hospital consignments, and central facilities. Key commercial processes, including purchase order processing and the application of complex pricing rules, were digitized to reduce manual effort and mitigate error rates.
For field operations, Accellor developed a mobile application empowering representatives to execute inventory transfer requests seamlessly, featuring integrated barcode scanning and automated shipping label generation. Concurrently, the implementation of Salesforce Health Cloud introduced automated audit capabilities, enabling mobile execution, offline access for use in environments with limited connectivity, and advanced digital reconciliation tools.
The integrated platform successfully unified purchase orders, pricing, inventory management, transfers, and audits into a single, cohesive system, empowering both back-office and field teams with real-time, mobile-enabled tools. This strategic transformation yielded dramatic improvements in operational performance. Process times were reduced by up to90%, enabling faster and more accurate operations. Customer service representatives realized time savings of nearly 50%, while sales representatives achieved a flawless 100% success rate in submitting inventory movement requests via the new mobile application. This initiative enhanced operational reliability, delivered measurable productivity gains, and established a robust, scalable foundation for future growth.
